Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, opened the closing ceremony of the activities of the Self-Sufficiency Festival for Theatrical Acting within a large ceremony among students of artistic activity, members of university faculties' acting teams, and the ceremony began with a speech in which he urged students to continue to practice various student activities.
He expressed his happiness at the expansion of the student activities department and the achievements of the university’s students, and concluded his speech by congratulating them on the university’s award for the best university in student activities at the level of all Egyptian universities.
The ceremony witnessed honoring the university guests from the members of the jury of the Self-Sufficiency Festival for Music and Choir Namely Dr. / Nagwa Ibrahim, Dr. Mo’taz Metwally and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Kader and the members of the jury of the Self-Sufficiency Festival for Theatrical Acting, Prof. Dr. Samia Habib, the director Mohamed Desouki and the artist Fady Foukih .
This was followed by the announcement of the recommendations of the jury and the announcement of the festival result, where the Faculty of Law came in the first place, followed by the Faculty of Business in the second place, while the Faculty of Medicine ranked third in the ranking of faculties within the competition.
As for the individual awards for students, the student, Karim Adel from the Faculty of Law won the first place award as the best actor, while the student Marwan Ali from the Faculty of Computers and Information came second, and the third place was awarded to the student Salah Mohamed from the Faculty of Business.
